Locking the passenger doors Unlocking the passenger doors
Changing the battery
F Open the doors.
F O n the rear doors, check that the child lock
is not on.
For more information on the Child lock , refer
to the corresponding section. F
P ull the interior door opening control.Battery ref.: CR2032 / 3 volts.
Battery replacement is signalled by the display
of a message.

nclip the cover using a small screwdriver
at the cut-out.

L
ift off the cover.

emove the flat battery from its location.

F
it the new battery into its location
observing the original direction of fitment.

lip the cover onto the casing.

emove the black cap, located on the edge
of the door, using the integral key.

I
nsert the integral key in the socket without
forcing it, then without turning it, move the
latch sideways towards the inside of the
d o o r.

emove the integral key and refit the cap.
F

C
lose the doors and check that the vehicle
has locked correctly from the outside.

Remote control problem / reinitialisation
If the problem persists, contact a CITROËN dealer
or a qualified workshop as soon as possible.
Following disconnection of the vehicle battery, replacement of the remote control battery or in the
event of a remote control malfunction, you can no longer unlock, lock or locate your vehicle.

lace the back-up key (integral with the
remote control) in the lock to unlock your
vehicle. F

pen the front armrest.

aise the mat by its tongue and remove it.


P
lace the electronic key on the back-up
reader.

S
witch on the ignition by pressing
the
"START/STOP " button.
The electronic key is fully operational again.
Remember to refit the mat below the armrest
after removing the reinitialised electronic key.

Particle filter (Diesel)
According to your version of instrument panel, the start of
saturation of the particle emissions filter is indicated by:
- temporary illumination of the service warning lamp,
accompanied by an audible signal
and a message that there is a risk
of blockage of the particle filter.

As soon as the traffic conditions permit,
regenerate the filter by driving at a speed of at
least 40 mph (60 km/h) until the warning lamp
goes off.
If the warning lamp stays on, there is a lack of
additive.
Checking components
Air filter and passenger compartment filter
Oil filter
Unless other wise indicated, check these components in accordance with the manufacturer's service schedule and according to your engine.
Other wise, have them checked by a CITROËN dealer or a qualified workshop.
Refer to the manufacturer's
service schedule for details of the
replacement intervals for these
components.
Replace the oil filter each time the
engine oil is changed.
Refer to the manufacturer's
service schedule for details of
the replacement interval for this
component.
Versions equipped with Stop &
Start are fitted with a 12 V lead-acid
battery of specific technology and
specification.
Its replacement should be carried
out only by a CITROËN dealer or a
qualified workshop.
12 V battery
For more information and the precautions to
take before starting work on the 12 V batter y

refer to the corresponding section.
The battery does not require any maintenance.However, check regularly that the
terminals are correctly tightened
(versions without quick release terminals)
and that the connections are clean.
Depending on the environment (e.g. dusty
atmosphere) and the use of the vehicle
(e.g. city driving), replace them twice as often
if necessary .
A clogged passenger compartment filter may
have an adverse effect on the per formance
of the air conditioning system and generate
undesirable odours.
